Susan Gay Kirk daughter of James King Taitano Gay has donated her father's bible to the Richard F. Taitano Micronesian Area Research Center. Kirk found out about the Guam-Micronesia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists project to republish the 1908 Francis Marion Price publication of a bi-lingual bible. The Price edition is in diglot format, with the scriptures printed in Chamorro on the left side of the pages and English on the right.

The Gay Family Bible is in fragile condition and can only be viewed in a glass case. It's accompanied by other bible related materials at MARC. The Gay Family Bible is the only copy of the original 1908 publication discovered and donated to MARC.

Other copies of the original bible are, in large University Libraries - most in private collections.
